Tesco Backs the Eagles with €10,000 Investment

At Saturday’s home game in Virginia, Tesco Ireland presented a €10,000 sponsorship cheque to the club, a significant investment that will help sustain the Eagles’ Women’s Super League programme at national level.

The funding supports essential costs including national league travel and accommodation, coaching and performance supports, and access to high‑quality training facilities. It also strengthens the pathway for young local players progressing from underage teams into senior elite competition.

Club Chairperson Graham Tolan welcomed Tesco’s continued backing, saying:

“Tesco’s support is helping to drive female participation, local leadership, and high‑performance sport in our community. We are extremely grateful for their investment in our players, our pathways, and our wider mission.”

Tesco is a long‑standing supporter of local organisations across Co. Cavan. Through its Community Fund, the retailer has helped hundreds of groups ranging from GAA clubs to children’s charities. Beneficiaries in the latest round include Carrigabruise National School in Virginia, St Michael’s National School in Bailieborough, and St Clare’s Primary School in Cavan Town.
