Cross-Border Success in Lisburn

What a fantastic day of basketball in Lisburn! 🏀

Huge congratulations to the boys and girls from St Mary’s National School and Knocktemple National School who proudly represented their schools in a brilliant cross-border competition.

A special well done to the St Mary’s girls who were outstanding throughout and claimed victory in the final – a superb achievement! 👏

A big shout out as well to Knocktemple girls, who put in a fantastic performance, winning both of their preliminary games before narrowly losing out to their neighbours, St Mary’s, in the final.

The boys teams from both St Mary’s and Knocktemple also did themselves proud, battling hard to reach the semifinals, where they faced very strong opposition. Great effort all around!

A massive thank you to The Cleveland Project Northern Ireland for hosting such a well-organised and enjoyable tournament. We’re also incredibly grateful to the teachers and our American superstars Mazzie and Soleil for their coaching in the schools and for travelling to support the teams on the day.

And finally, thank you to Basketball Ireland for supporting this wonderful cross-border initiative that gives young players such a great opportunity to compete and connect.
